Absence of a well structure athletics plan in the main stream education policy has been the most complex task for BAAF. Hence the notion “ small kids’ are not small adults” was an ignored principle. With our efforts to streamline this concept. BAAF blessed with the timely introduction kids’ athletics program into the primary schools curriculum and the .BAAF Youth athletics for Lower secondary school and middle secondary school, is taking its pace but novelty.
Thus since 2010, our program:
- Kids athletics for kids’ – 7-8, 9-10, 11-12
- BAAF youth athletics- 13-14, 15-16
- Specialization – 17-18 +
The above structured competition scheme has conceived in all the schools that has adopted our plans and supports.
National Athletic Championship
National Athletic championship is for youth from 20 Dzongkhags compete in this national level event. This is done in close collaboration with the department of youth and sports of the ministry of education.
